MIB Overview

MIDWEST INDEPENDENT BANK

The MIBA is proud of its role in the creation of the Midwest Independent Bank. The MIB, a for profit, full service, correspondent bank, was chartered in 1984 after passage of legislation introduced by the MIBA. The Association was instrumental in implementing the initial feasibility study and stock sales effort which led to the bank's charter. The MIB, Missouri's premier correspondent bankers' bank, is owned and directed exclusively by Missouri independent banks and offers an alternative to large holding company correspondent relationships which were the only choice before the Midwest Independent Bank was created.
